WOKHA, JUNE 16 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Wokha has issued notice to several individuals for encroaching upon portions of the NH-02 under Wokha district with illegal construction of buildings, makeshift structures etc. The DC’s notice said that encroachment on the national highway whether of permanent nature or temporary nature is a grave matter of concern for traffic management and operation and future of up-gradation project and is also an offence. It directed the individuals to show cause as to why action should not be initiated against them to remove such structures within 7 days. Failure to comply with the order shall invite removal of the structure without further notice, it added.
