The Wokha District Congress Committee (WDCC) organised a programme for the launching and distribution of its newly printed calendar at the WDCC Office on October 11. The event was graced by N. Wobenthung Lotha, PCC member of the 38th Wokha Assembly Constituency and former INC candidate, as the special invitee.

In his address, Wobenthung Lotha expressed optimism over the growing strength of the Congress party, observing a steady increase in membership and a positive shift in the political atmosphere. He remarked that even at the national level, the party seems to be gaining renewed momentum and public support. Appreciating the dedication and loyalty of party workers, he encouraged them to continue working collectively as the next election approaches. He further urged members to adopt the “each one, catch one” approach to help expand the party’s reach and influence.

Chenithung Humtsoe, PCC member of the 40th Bhandari Assembly Constituency and member of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), in his remarks, reminded members that although the party has not been in power for over two decades, it continues to work diligently for the people. He encouraged the gathering to remain steadfast and persistent, stating that “the fruit of hard work always tastes better,” and urged members to work towards achieving the party’s long-term goals.

The calendars, printed by the WDCC, were distributed free of cost and will be made available across all constituencies to highlight the progress and ongoing initiatives of the Congress party.
