Wokha District Bharat Scouts & Guides inducts new President & Secretary

The Induction programme for the newly appointed leaders of Bharat Scouts & Guides with Vineet Kumar, IAS Deputy Commissioner as the District President, and Z Chanbemo Kikon, Sr. SDEO, as District Secretary was held today at DC Conference Hall, Wokha.

In his inaugural address as the newly appointed District President, Vineet Kumar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Wokha, expressed his delight in learning that the Wokha Scouts & Guides team has already been doing commendable work, which has received well-deserved recognition. He conveyed his desire for everyone to continue striving together to maintain the high standard of work already achieved.

Emphasising the goals, purposes, and principles of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, he highlighted the organisation's significant role in character building, particularly for young students. He noted that the participation of students in the Bharat Scouts and Guides cultivates the development of essential qualities and characteristics necessary for their future endeavours. He also highlighted that discipline, which is crucial for any leader or individual to succeed in life, is strongly emphasized in the Bharat Scouts and Guides.

Acknowledging the Bharat Scouts and Guides remarkable contributions, he remarked that his induction into this esteemed organisation brings with it a natural sense of pride and a heightened commitment to duty. He expressed his gratitude to the Bharat Scouts and Guides for this honour and shared how privileged he feels to be part of it.

The event was chaired by Rozy Sangtam, EAC Cum District Commissioner (G) with the BS&G Prayer, followed by a Welcome Address from K Abeni Nullie, District Training Commissioner (G). A special song was performed by the DBHSS Scouts & Guides.

The programm concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by T. Ezanthung Lotha, TE Co-ordinator and District Treasurer.
