Wokha: District BJP organises free medical camp

Wokha, June 24 (MExN): A free medical camp was organised in Yanthamo Village under Wokha district on June 22 as part of the district BJP’s ‘Seva Sushasan Aur Gareep Kalyan Parv’ programme to mark eight years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. 

More than 300 people including several octogenarians attended the medical camp, according to a press release from the Media Secretary, BJP Wokha Unit.

Among others, a medical team consisting of specialist doctors attended to patients and conducted blood tests with the assistance of lab technicians. COVID vaccinations were also done during the camp, the release stated.

According to the release, BJP Wokha District president Y Kikon said that the free medical camp is a part of various social welfare activities undertaken by the district BJP in commemoration of 8 years of Modi government, and sponsored by Yanthungo Patton, Deputy CM and Home Minister, Government of Nagaland.

The next free medical camp will be held at Mekokla Village, on June 25 and will be sponsored by Advisor Mmhonlumo Kikon, he informed. 

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Medical Officer Zuben Kikon  while thanking the BJP Wokha District as well as Deputy CM for sponsoring all the medicines and the medical team, encouraged the gathering to avail the opportunity which will be free of cost.
