WOKHA, JULY 22 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner, & Chairman Wokha District Sports Council, Ajit Kumar Ranjan, IAS unveiled the official logo and flag of the Wokha District Cricket Association (WDCA) on July 22 at Deputy Commissioner conference hall, Wokha.
Unveiling the Logo and Flag the DC congratulated the new team of WDCA office bearers led by Chenithung Humtsoe.
He expressed hope that under the new team the association will go a long way in taking forward the game to higher standards. The DC also stated that it is very encouraging to see that cricket associations in the state are progressing on a positive note by way of promoting and giving platform to youngsters.
The logo and flag was designed by Khyolamo Humtsoe, Suben Ezung, David Shitio and Vishal Diwan.
The DC meanwhile felicitated Nzanthung Mozhui for becoming the first cricket player from the Lotha community to play for the Nagaland cricket team at the Ranji cricket trophy, and Merayani Kikon for being the first Lotha woman to play in a major cricket tournament organised by Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA).
Lotha Eloe Hoho President Thungbeni Ngullie who also spoke during the programme congratulated the two players for their achievement and bringing laurel to the district.
