WOKHA, December 7 (MExN): The quarterly review meeting of the District Tobacco Control Cell, Co-ordination committee, Enforcement Squad & Flying Squad (NTCP) Wokha was held on December 5 at DCs conference Hall. Wokha District Media Officer, Mhonbeni Ezung in a press release stated that Deputy Commissioner Dr Manazir Jeelani Samoon (IAS) chaired the programme. The quarterly report activities of the DTCC and guidelines for Tobacco Free Schools were presented by Dr Meribeni Odyuo Sr Dental Surgeon & DNO NTCP.
Seven Schools in the District were declared Tobacco Free Schools- DBHSS, Perennial Montessori School, Mt. Carmel High School, Cistus High School, Grace English High School and Springdale High School, in addition to the previously Tobacco Free declared schools- Mt Sinai School and Isaiah Ability School. The members discussed on ways for better enforcement activities and the initiation of Tobacco Free Zones in the District.
