Wokha DTF for COVID-19 ‘one of the best performing’ in Nagaland

Wokha, January 30 (MExN): Wokha District Task Force (DTF) for COVID-19 has been reported as being one of the best performing districts in the State in terms of effectively handling the crisis and in fighting the pandemic.

Advisor for Information Technology & Communication, Science & Technology, New & Renewable Energy, Mmhonlumo Kikon stated this while addressing the Wokha District Planning Board meeting held at Liphayan on January 28. 

Kikon, who is also a member of the High Power Committee for COVID-19 Nagaland, conveyed to the DTF members that the High Power Committee during its meeting “appreciated and acknowledged Wokha District Task Force as being one of the best performing districts in the State in terms of effectively handling the crisis and in fighting the pandemic.”

A DIPR report said, Kikon stated that the State Government after assessing in all the perimeter in terms of its ability to face the challenges in-spite of its disadvantages in the initial stage on infrastructure and lack of other basic requirements, the way the district had made the challenges in using all human resources by all way of creating awareness in all the areas where public were sensitized to make them follow the laid down guidelines and SOPs in order to prevent the spread of the virus.

As a token of appreciation, Kikon gifted video conferencing equipments to Wokha district.

Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB Wokha, Orenthung Lotha in his concluding remark thanked the SDO (C) Ralan and his team, Ralan area people for making all arrangement for the successful conduct of the DPDB meeting.

He also commended the Commandant and personnel of 142 & 155 CRPF Battalion posted in the area for the services rendered in maintaining law and order for the peaceful co-existence between the two States.
