Wokha: House torched in election related violence

Election-related violence continued to be reported from Wokha as one house was reported torched at New Wokha village on February 9. According to the Wokha police, the house reportedly belonging to a relative of a JD (U) poll contender was set on fire at around 8:30 pm by unidentified persons. The police said that Fire & Emergency Services personnel alongwith police were rushed to the site of incident. The fire was brought under control but the house was completely razed and there was no report of any human casualty, it was added. The police said that the identity of the perpetrator(s) could not be ascertained while adding that no FIR was received in connection to the incident.
