Missing since June 2, the dead body of the retired IRB jawan was found in the New Aree village area forest on June 30.
Dimapur, July 2 (MExN): Nearly a month after a retired IRB jawan went missing, his dead body was reportedly found on June 30 in the New Aree village area forest.
The deceased, Ponathung Z Jami from Pangti village, went missing on June 2 and remained untraceable until his body was discovered by hunters on the evening of June 30 in the forest area.
The hunters informed the villagers, and subsequently, the police personnel from the Sungro Police Station, village council, and family members went to recover the body at around 8 pm on June 30, informed a press note received here.
No foul play was reported, as the village council, along with police personnel from the Sungro Police Station, carried out the recovery of the remains, it added.
