Wokha, September 4 (MExN): A meeting on district level convergence plan committee on Poshan Maah 2020 was held at the Deputy Commissioner Conference hall, Wokha under the Chairmanship of the DC, Wokha, Orenthung Lotha on September 4.
According to a DIPR report, DC Wokha while briefing during the meeting said, “More attention and efforts need to be given as this schemes focuses on bridging the gap which angwanwadi cannot cover in terms of nutrition and also suggested to give more emphasis at the rural areas to make the programme more effective.” The DC also suggested for concentrate in areas where efforts needto be given which is prevalent in the district.
District Co-coordinator Posh an Abhiyaan Wokha, Shanjothung Ngullie highlighted the activities to be carried out though out the district during the month long programmed which includes events like youth leaders meeting, poshan seminar, local leaders, panchayat leaders, NGOs, men folks, mothers meeting-focus young mothers, cleanliness drive in government institutions, offices and anganwadi (AWCs) centers, programmed on adolescents girls and cooking competition cum closing ceremony of poshan Abhiyaan 2020.
With department of Social Welfare, Health &Family Welfare Local Administration, NRLM, AWCs and Self Help Groups and others as service providers. He further informed that similar programmes with different action plans will also be carried out in the Block levels as well.
Members attending the meeting also suggested ways and means as to how to go about with the targeted plans so that programmed is successfully implemented.
