Wokha, October 13 (MExN): The Wokha District Regional Taxi owners, drivers and Tiyi Transport agency (counter), Nzanchi counter Wokha (Kyong Travels, AB Travels, Nzan counter Dimapur to Wokha) has strongly opposed the idea on centralisation proposed by the All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA).
In a press release, appended by Tiyi Transport Agency (Counter) Lochumbeni Kikon and Regional Taxi Owner, Zubenthung Ngullie stated that they oppose the idea “since it is a malicious and tactical practice of the ANTA and its unit to seize control over all government registered ticketing and booking agencies under their supremacy.”
The release cited that over a decade, they have served the commuter’s welfare of Wokha district, and therefore, ‘suppress some individualistic idea to take control over registered ticket counters.’ They reiterated to continue functioning under the Government registration and authorisation with or without the ANTA and its units for the welfare and interest of the public as per the resolution and meeting held on October 9, 2022 at Pangti Baptist Ekhumko building.
