Wokha, July 14 (MExN): Wokha Town Lakhuti Eloe Ekhung (WTLEE) celebrated Silver Jubilee at Likya Yankho Community Hall Wokha under the theme “Prosperity through Unity” on July 14.
Rev Ezanbemo Odyuo, Pastor, Lakhuti Baptist Church was the main speaker while Chipo Yanthan was the keynote speaker, informed a press release.
Speaking on the theme, Rev Ezanbemo cited few examples from the bible and also quoted where there is unity there is strength and thus victory is achieved. He acknowledged Almighty God for the occasion and also expressed gratitude to all the pioneers of the association and urged the gathering to be the torch bearers of the society.
Chipo Yanthan in his address expressed gratitude to all the past and present office bearers for their tremendous contribution throughout the journey of 25 years and encouraged all to move forward with vision and goals accepting the responsibility assigned to them. A special prayer of blessing was offered by Chenio Yanthan. Short speeches were also delivered by Jandeno Kikon and C Mhalo Yanthan. Following strict physical distancing norms the programme was led by Lopeno Yanthan, WTLEE Chairman and the benediction was offered by Phanjam Kikon.
