Wokha, October 14 (MExN): The 25th get-together cum feast of Wokha Town Lakhuti Eloe Ekhung (WTLEE) was held at Likya Community Hall with Zanbeni Yantha, member of Lakhuti Eloi Ekhung as the speaker of the event.
During the event, Zanbeni Yanthan expressed her delight over the unity of the Lakhuti Eloe Ekhung. She stressed the importance of having a good leader and highlighted how groups and organizations thrive under the guidance of someone committed and willing to dedicate their time and take up responsibilities.
She encouraged everyone to choose a leader who is willing to initiate and actively work for the betterment of the people. Additionally, she urged all to maintain the current positive relationships and emphasized the need to foster strong bonds. Recognizing the potential of younger generations, she called for their inclusion and training to ensure the preservation of culture, given their innovative, smart, and creative nature. Finally, the speaker emphasized that honesty, trust, and respect are integral to the successful functioning of any group or organization.
During the programme, a moment of silence was observed to pay tribute to the departed souls of the Lakhuti Eloe Ekhung. Additionally, a heartfelt prayer for blessings was led by Easther Kikon.
The programme was chaired by Myingthunglo Ngullie, president WTLEE, while Jamuna Ngullie delivered the invocation prayer and vote of thanks was pronounced by Mary O Kikon, treasurer WTLEE.
