Wokha U-19 Cricket Tourney: GHSS, Spring Dale School declared joint winners

Wokha, September 9 (MExN): With rain playing spoilsport on the final day of the Inter-School U-16 Boys Cricket Tournament (2023-24), Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) and Spring Dale School were declared the joint winners. 

Seven schools participated in the tournament which was organised by Wokha District Cricket Association (WDCA) under the aegis of Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) to promote and popularise the game.

Meanwhile, gracing the closing function at Wokha local ground as special invitee, District Youth Resource Officer and DSO Wokha in-charge, Libemo Jami congratulated the winners and lauded the NCA, WDCA and all the school management in the district for encouraging the students in the field of sports and inculcating positive mindset through physical education. 

The organisers also informed that 30 promising players selected from the tournament would represent WDCA Xl during the  winter cricket challenge and U-16 inter-district.

Tumben Jami from Spring Dale School was adjudged as the player of the tournament.
