Wokha, March 9 (DIPR): The monthly District Planning and Development Board meeting was held on March 9 at DPO conference hall, Wokha. Vice Chairman DPDB, Wokha and Deputy Commissioner Wezope Kenye chaired the meeting. The board after deliberation approved recast of scheme for LADP 2016-17 under 39 Sanis A/C. President Wokha District Veteran Football Association apprised the members about the 8th edition of Nagaland veteran football association tournament which is scheduled to be held at Phek from April 3 to 8. In this connection the Chairman requested all board members to extend possible help to enable them to take part in the forthcoming NVFA tournament. District Programme Officer, DAPCU presented the HIV/AIDS scenario of Wokha district. The board also approved the shifting of Sub-Treasury Office from Baghty to Bhandari to higher authority for recommendation. Power point presentation was also presented by Sericulture department highlighting the various departmental activities and programmes.
