DIMAPUR, JANUARY 2: One woman was critically injured when a bullet struck her in the neck on January 2 at about 8 a.m. near Khopanala Bridge, Chumukedima. The woman identified as Khetoli Zhimomi, wife of Zhekugha Zhimomi of Shoxuvi village and former president of Aqahuto Area Sumi Totimi Hoho was wounded, when she was proceeding towards Dimapur from Shoxuvi along with her husband and two relatives in a Maruti Gypsy. She has been admitted in a private hospital and is said to be in a critical condition, with the bullet still lodged inside the body. A case in this connection has been registered. Meanwhile, Chairman of Shoxuvi village council, P. Akihito Zhimomi has condemned the incident and has appealed to the authority concerned to conduct proper investigation into the matter.
