Women livelihood training in Kohima

Kohima, June 2 (MExN): Women livelihood training on detergent washing powder and dish wash gel making under District Planning and Development Board (DPDB), Kohima was jointly organized by NCUI Project, Kohima and ATMA Kohima on May 31 at SCERT Training Hall, Kohima.  

Kethosituo Sekhose, SDO (C) and Convenor, Ward Adoption Committee, DPDB Kohima, in his keynote address encouraged the women trainees to give importance on local production not only for domestic use, but also for commercial purpose which could generate income for the family. He further urged the ward women to put into practice what they learnt during the training for self sustenance. He also briefed about the programs undertaken by DPDB Kohima under the leadership of DPDB Chairman, Khriehu Liezietsu, Parliamentary Secretary for Youth Resources and Sports.  

The practical session on detergent washing powder and dish wash gel making was demonstrated by Keneilezo Senotsu, CEI, NCUI Project, Kohima.  

Zasilhoulie, Chairman and leader of Panchayat Ward-1, thanked the organizers for imparting the training, which is the first of its kind in the ward.  

The daylong programme was attended by women from all the 6 colonies of Ward-1 and DPDB Ward Adoption Committee members and colony chairmen and leaders.
