DIMAPUR, MARCH 1 (MExN): Nagaland defeated Jammu and Kashmir by 11 runs at the Women’s Senior Onde Day Trophy in Puducherry on March 1. J&K, winning the toss, elected to field first. Nagaland managed to put up a meager total of 72 runs before being bowled out in 32.3 overs. Madhumonti was Nagaland’s top scorer with 36 runs. For J&K, Nadia took 3 wickets while Sarla and Sandhya bagged two each. Despite the small total, the Nagaland bowlers managed to bowl out their opponents for just 66 runs in 56.2 overs, thereby winning the match. Pankul was the pick of the bowlers for Nagaland with 4 wickets while Trishna bagged 2 scalps.
