Women’s U-19 One Day Trophy: Nagaland loses to J&K

Dimapur, October 2 (MExN): The Nagaland Women’s team suffered their second consecutive defeat in the Women’s U-19 One Day Trophy at Vikash Cricket Ground, Bhubaneshwar on October 2. 

Batting first in their second match against Jammu and Kashmir, Nagaland scored 119 runs, losing 6 wickets in 50 over.
Nagaland’s innings started strongly with the openers Iluneule Zeliang (22 runs) and Bipila (32 runs) putting on a 70-run partnership till the 30th over. However, wickets fell at regular intervals thereafter, and the team could manage just 119 runs. 

After a shaky start, J&K consolidated their innings and reached the target in just 33.2 overs and won the match be 5 wickets.

Nagaland will play Sikkim next on October 3, at KIIT Cricket Stadium, Bhubaneshwar.
