Woodpecker’s Willow, a handcrafted woodcraft enterprise founded by Tsenthungo Lotha and Ejungthung Ngullie, opened its new outlet in Wokha town on April 23, and the store is located on the second floor of a new building near Vishal Mega Mart, Wokha.
The outlet offers a wide range of handcrafted wooden products, including table lamps, floor lamps, wooden cutlery, mortars, plates, key holders and brooches. Special opening discounts are also being provided on most items.
Speaking on the occasion, Tsenthungo Lotha stated that the venture is not only aimed at personal livelihood but also at creating opportunities for other youths. He shared that the initiative seeks to provide employment by training interested individuals in woodcraft, enabling them to develop skills and become self-reliant.
He further emphasised that in the present scenario, youths should not depend solely on government jobs but explore skill-based opportunities and entrepreneurship.
For to them, the new outlet is more than just a shop but it reflects their journey, their belief in working with one’s hands, and their hope that more young people will start looking at skills and creativity as a way to build their future.
