Officials and participants during the Work No Tobacco Day observed in Impur with the Impur Baptist Church Youth Ministry on May 31.
Mokokchung, June 1 (MExN): The District Tobacco control Cell Mokokchung observed Work No Tobacco Day under the theme “Unmasking the appeal-countering nicotine and tobacco addiction” with the Impur Baptist Church Youth Ministry on May 31.
The DPMU of NRHM, Mokokchung in a press release stated that the theme speaker was Dr K Tiasenla, DNO NTCP, who spoke on the harmful effects and health risk of consuming tobacco.
Nukshiwati Consultant NTCP Spoke on the harmful effect of tobacco use and its awareness. He also said that tobacco is not only injurious to health but also an unhygienic practice. During the programme Pledge was taken by the all the participants and IEC materials were distributed.
More than 250 students from Impur Bible Seminar and Impur School of Nursing participated in the programme.
