The construction of 2 laning with hard shoulder of Kohima- Jessami road on National Highway-29 has commenced in the first week of December.
Kohima- Jessami section of NH-29 will connect Kohima to the Phek district and Myanmar border. It may be recalled that the foundation stone for the same along with other road projects in Nagaland were virtually laid on December 4 last by Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and MSMEs. Gadkari had stated that almost all districts in Nagaland have been connected to a robust network of National Highways.
