Dimapur, April 20 (MExN): A two-day workshop on ‘Dalit-Tribal Praxis for Life’ was inaugurated at Sakus Mission College, Dimapur on April 20. A total of 20 faculty members and social activists are participating in this workshop.
This workshop is being hosted by the Indigenous Research Centre of Sakus Mission College, a programme that is being given by the Center for Dalit/Subaltern Studies, New Delhi, informed a press release issued by Dr. Samuel Longkumer, Organizer, Indigenous Research Centre of Sakus Mission College.
The workshop aims to educate, train and equip leaders and young Dalit/Tribal scholars to realize the need to amalgamate their ideology with experiences and develop praxis oriented contextual Dalit/Tribal theology that promotes life and strives for a just world order.
The main resource persons for the workshop are from CDS: Dr. Monodeep Daniel, Dean, St. Stephen’s College, Dr. Shalini Mulackal, Rev. Dinesh Singh, Rev. Avinash Massey, Imti Jamir. Other resource persons are Dr. Panger Kichu and Dr. Imna Imchen.
