A one day workshop on DSLR photography organised by the Canon Image Square in collaboration with the Department of Information and Public Relations was held on August 4 at the IPR Citadel conference hall. The resource person for the workshop was MD Noor, Trainer, Canon India.
Theories on the basics of photography and some advanced photography were taught during the training besides the practical session. Like painting, Noor stated, imagination and the imagination tool are crucial in photography, therefore the three important tools in the art of photography are the camera, the subject, and the eye for detail.
The language of photography and the science of photography were discussed at length. In the language of photography, Noor taught on the effects of light, depth of field and motion which enriches the picture, while in the science of photography, he stressed on the three areas of Aperture, Shutter speed and ISO. Basic skills of capturing photos, especially for media personnel, were presented followed by the practical session.
