Tuli, April 12 (MExN): Watsü Telen Tuli in collaboration with Tuli Town Council organized a workshop on ‘Cleaner and Healthier Tuli’ at F&RMCA Hall, Tuli, on April 12.
Community Educational Centre Society, Director, Subonenba Longkumer was the guest speaker. He acknowledged the gathering for being vigilant and concern for a healthier and safer community, stated a press release. Longkumer spoke on the roles and responsibilities of community investment, importance of health and hygiene and community engagement for a healthier and cleaner Tuli.
He mentioned that a community can only move forward and develop when there is a collective effort. “Cleanliness and hygiene is a huge responsibility that requires commitment. Unless we take care of our personal hygiene and our environment, we cannot be clean in a true sense,” he asserted.
Shaying Sheu, ADC, Tuli spoke on the importance of women participation in a modern society and how community can get benefit out of it. “Women are really hard working and plays a very important role in making a cleaner and healthier community,” he stated while adding that “the struggles and hard work of Tuli women should not be taken for granted but rather use as a resource to make Tuli a healthier town.”
