Mokokchung, May 31 (MExN): The Department of Health and Family Welfare, Mokokchung organized a one day workshop on National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) for AEFI Surveillance at community hall, Sangtemla ward on May 31.
The training was conducted with an aim to familiarise the health workers with the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP) and Adverse Event Following immunization (AEFI) surveillance system at district and sub-district levels; to understand structures, tools and roles of different stakeholders in the implementation process of QMS for AEFI surveillance and develop a district implementation plan for QMS in AEFI surveillance.
A press release issued by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer Mokokchung stated that the resource person were Dr L ongri Kichu UNICEF and Dr Takosunep DPO UIP & RCH.
Senior Medical Officers, Medical Officers, CHOs, LHVs, GNMs, ANMs, Vaccinators, BPM, BAC attended the training.
