DIMAPUR, FEB 6 (MExN): A two day workshop on, ‘People living with HIV/AIDS’ organized by Positive Peoples’ Foundation+ (PPF+) and Dimapur District AIDS Control Committee (DDACC) funded by the Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS)was held on January 27 and 28 at Tourist Lodge, Dimapur. The workshop was attended by 58 members.
K.Nzimongo Ngullie, Deputy Commissoner, Dimapur and Chairman of DDACC while congratulating the PPF for their initiative said that there are different diseases and that the members should not regret or depressed for being HIV+ stated Abemo in a release. He said ‘feel normal because anybody can serve God with or without disease’ and added ‘be responsible with your behaviour’ stated the release. Ngullie while encouraging the members to act as role model and to be channel to educate others on HIV/AIDS prevention urged the members to be in good terms with the family members and God stated the release. He further assured support and help in whichever way he could stated Abemo.
The members of PPF+ has expressed happiness and appreciated the NSACS and DDACC for their concern and support and K.Nzimongo Ngullie, Deputy Commissoner, Dimapur and Chairman of DDACC for his encouragement and solidarity. The PPF+ has also thanked the resource persons-Dr.Lima Jamir, CHD, Dr.Adela Resource Centre, Ayangla Sisterhood Network, K.Ela Assistant Director, Prodigals’ Home, Lipok DIC, Bethesda YWC, Alemla Longchar DDACC, Dr.E.Mhabemo Ovung and Father Joe Marithas, Director, Shalom Rehabilitation Centre, who spoke on healthy living, principles of living, human rights, self reliant activities, referral and networking of services.
