DIMAPUR, JULY 14 (MExN): A district level workshop cum training on U-WIN, a programme to digitise India's Universal Immunisation Programme (UIP), was held from July 11-13th at Sumi Kukami Hall, Zunheboto district.
A press release issued by District Media Officer, Keneikhrietuo said Dr Heto Swu, DPO (UIP&RCH) in his welcome address explained that U-WIN is a digital solution for UIP to facilitate tracking of every pregnant woman, new born, child & adolescent vaccination. This include planning vaccination sessions, updating vaccination status digitally on real time flow basis from the last mile of service delivery by the vaccinator.
During the training, state resource person, Imli Longkumer, project officer UNDP trained the participants on U-WIN, objectives of pilot, guiding principles and expectations, advantages of a digital system, case study, hands-on practice and the different modules related.
The district resource person includes Rosemary Vitoli, DPM (NHM), Kuputo, VCCM (UNDP) and BPMs. The trainees were imparted training on different admin module like session planning, management, integration with other portals, mapping, case studies and hands on practice on admin module related activities, self-registration module on U-WIN App. The participants include medical officers, CHOs, GNMs and ANMs of all health units in the district.
