Kohima, December 16 (MExN): Agenda for State level IPPI (Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization) workshop was held at the conference hall of the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Kohima on December 15.
The welcome and keynote address was delivered by Dr. Limaakum, Additional Director/Acting MD (NHM), DHFW. Highlights of the current status of polio eradication, risks to eradication and actions to sustain polio free status and guidelines for planning and implementation of NID’s Review of IPPI 2016 (district-wise) and RI Performance (2016-16) and planning for district workshops and timeline were presented by Dr. Shiela Longkumer, SMO, WHO-India and Dr. Visasieu Kire, SEPIO respectively.
The department informed in a press release that the workshop was attended by officers from all the 11 districts including MOs, DOs, SPO, DPO, SIO, AA, APO, UNICEF Consultant, Assistant Director and officers from the directorate. The workshop concluded with feedbacks and discussions on the various agenda that were highlighted at the programme.
