Workshop, teacher’s training at NEZCC concludes

Dimapur, January 23 (MExN): The ten day long workshop on “Our Cultural Diversity” organized by the New Delhi based Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) concluded January 21, Friday at the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) complex with former Director NEZCC N. Bendang Ao gracing the occasion as chief guest. The ten day workshop saw the participation of teachers from all over the country taking part in the training programmes offered by the CCRT. Sharing of knowledge about one’s culture with others and creating a sense of appreciation for the diversity and richness of India’s heritage were the focal points of the workshop, which included lectures, demonstrations and practical classes.
The workshop also helped in creating awareness about the role of schools in conservation of natural and cultural heritage and encouraging involvement of students and teachers in such activities that may help them to serve the country. Today’s valedictory function also included Som Kamei, Director NEZCC who was present as guest of honour. Welcome address was given by Professor M.K Sharma, Consultant CCRT.
