Mon, April 30 (MExN): Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Mon, State Resource Centre for Women (SRCW), and Nagaland State Social Welfare Board (NSSWB) will be jointly organizing a series of district level workshop and consultative meeting to address violence against women & children in Mon district from May 2-4 at the DRDA conference hall, DC complex here.
Awareness of schemes with special reference to Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Women-Helpline-181, and Sakhi One Stop Centre will be created. The participants will include important stakeholders like head of the district departments, police, village council representatives, Dobashis, NGOs, women organizations, church, student and community leaders (KU, KNSK, KSU, KBBB), principals and teachers of educational institutions etc.
The Deputy Commissioner of Mon, Thavaseelan K has informed all the concerned stakeholders to participate in the workshops saying it will be a significant platform to deliberate and strive together towards making Mon a safer district for women and children.
