
KOHIMA, MAY 22 (MExN): World no Tobacco Day 2022 will be observed across the State on May 31.The theme for this year is ‘Tobacco- A threat to environment.’ Dr C Tetseo, Additional Director and State Nodal Officer stated that District Tobacco Control cell in all districts will be organizing different activities including competition and awareness program in districts and block headquarters during the week which will culminate on May 31.
In addition to district level activities, the State Tobacco Control Cell will organize state level picture and caption competition on the theme. The competition is open to all school and college students in the state and cash prize and certificate will be awarded to the best three. The picture and caption can be submitted online to stccnagaland@gmail.com till May 31. Dr Tetseo also stated that tobacco use among school students is on the rise and appealed to all schools and colleges in the state to organize some activities to create awareness and also to mark the day.
