Kohima, December 2 (MExN): In line with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, ‘World Soil Day’ will be commemorated on December 5 at Hotel Japfu, Kohima in the presence of AHODs and HODs of all agri and allied departments, the DIPR informed on Wednesday.
Minister, Soil and Water Conservation and Geology & Mining, V Kashiho Sangtam and APC, Kikheto Sema, will be gracing the programme as the special guests for session I and II respectively and a radio talk will also be recorded to be broadcasted on the same day on All India Radio (AIR), Kohima. The programme is being organised jointly by the Soil Survey (SS) & Land Use Planning (LUP) wing and Soil Health Management Scheme (SHMS) of the department.
