WRC observed at Kiphire

Kiphire | May 8 : Along with the rest of the world Indian Red Cross Society Kiphire today observe a world Red Cross day at the Official Chamber of the Deputy Commissioner Kiphire with Murohu Chotso Additional Deputy Commissioner Kiphire as special guest.
Speaking at the occasion as the Special Guest the ADC said, ‘It is a privilege to be the member in one of the biggest society in the world where functions and powers are same and congratulate the members present’.
Touching on the history and functions of the Red Cross society the Special Guest said, ‘The Society came into being at the time of war and now it has extended for all humanity, he also added, ‘Being a member in Red Cross is like putting on bullet proof since we are volunteers for humanity’.
Speaking on the theme of the World Red Cross day 2011 the special guest said, you enrolled yourself as volunteer to do something for fellow citizen so keep that in mind and move ahead.  He also call upon the members to disseminate the movement so that friends could also join the movement to be a mass movement.
Vice Chairman and Chief Medical Officer Kiphire Dr I. Sungit who also spoke  on the occasion said, ‘We live in society and are all social animal so give human touch to the suffering of the people irrespective of cast creed and color’. He also encourages the junior Red Cross member to be proud for being enrolled as a member in international society’.
According warm welcoming to the gathering the Hony Secy IRCS Kiphire calls upon the members present to imbibe the spirit of volunteering in every possible way for humanity.
Earlier Junior Red Cross Members from Good Shepherd School Kiphire convey a message through a song titled of ‘one voice one world’ .  The program was chaired by Thomas Life Member.
