KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 6 (MExN): A one-day capacity building training programme on office courtesy for grade-IV staff of the Water Resources Department was held on Friday at the office of the Chief Engineer, WRD.
The programme began with registration of participants, followed by a welcome and keynote address by Additional Chief Engineer WRD, Er Sobu Angami, who described the training as the first of its kind organised by the department. He emphasised the importance of discipline, polite behaviour and responsibility in maintaining a healthy workplace environment.
The first session on values and ethics in the workplace was led by Meripeni Ngullie, NSS Project Lead of the Nagaland Skills and Entrepreneurship Mission, Kohima. She spoke on gratitude, humility, accountability, integrity, responsibility, respect and teamwork within the workplace.
The second session on duties and responsibilities of grade-IV staff was conducted by Executive Engineer WRD, Er Wapangnaro Imchen, who explained the expected roles and conduct of staff in office functioning.
