WSAC slams Christian youth

Dimapur, October 17 (MExN): The World Salvation Army Church (WSAC), Nagaland has claimed that many Naga Christian Youth were indulging in “evil activities, immoralities etc” during the Durga Puja celebration. Stating that it tarnishes and destroys the Christian faith.

However, the WSAC stated: “To our loving Hindu brethrens, please don’t mixed up with such ugly example in our Christian society, though he or she may be your close friend or your neighbors. Please do not take it in other sense my Hindu friends, but it is our humble request to you, so that we may live in peaceful and understanding among each other in more coming days.”

Condemning the act of Naga Christian youth in a press note issued by Lt. Col Francis of WSAC, it stated: “The World Salvation Army Church, soldiers of our living God and charitable foundation church around the world is against the evil doers, satanic activities, immoralities etc. it is very much hurting the sentiments of Christians faith by our Naga Christians youth by indulging in evil activities, immoralities etc during this idol worshippers' festival."

It also claimed that in all the location where “pandals” were constructed by “Hindu brethrens” for celebration are seen filled by many Naga Christian boys and girls in “state of abnormal” after having intoxicants offered by the “Hindu brethrens”. Moreover, the prayer warriors of Salvation Army Church checked around Kohima and Dimapur and came across many “ugly scenes”, which is totally prohibited in Christian faith ethics. “We do not claim ourselves that we are pure with no sins but being believers of living God, it is our duty to check such ugly activities which defames the holy words and Naga’s motto: Nagaland For Christ,” it stated.

“if you are only a name sake Christian young people of Naga country like to worship idol/goddess then you better convert to Hinduism and enjoy upto what extend you expect to get satisfaction physically and mentally by worshipping Goddess which we Nagas have never practice before and present. In our Christian ethics, such activities are strictly prohibited and never allowed it to do. As the World considers Nagaland as heaven on earth for its 99% Christian dominated nation. Whereas we are like more than street dogs, shame on you to say I am Christian to your Hindu friends,” it refuted.

Reminding of the ten thousand missionaries promise made by Nagas, it said that Nagas are still in darkness. It also appealed the Naga national workers/leaders to join hands to detect anti-social elements entering Nagaland with “a dark spot aims, knowing of Nagas simplicity, compassion and love shown towards outsiders”.

“…anyone who takes advantages and bring ugly, shameful act and destroy our Naga kind hearted nature would invite wild fire irrespective of race, caste, religion etc." the WSAC warned.
