In tandem with the Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu’s (WSBAK) celebration of 75 years of existence (Platinum Jubilee 2022), the church organised a two-day choir festival beginning on July 22 at the premises of Dimapur Sümi Baptist Church under the theme, “Pa Likhi Shipililo/ Praise Him Alone” – Leshe (Psalms) 150: 6. A total of 11 church choirs from different sectors of Dimapur enthralled the congregation with their rendition of hymns written by both of Sümi and Western composers on the first night. Er Ahoto Zhimomi, President, WSBAK council was invited as the guest of honour for the event. The second day of the choir festival will be held at the Sümi Baptist Church Diphupar on July 23.
