Dimapur, July 4 (MExN): The Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) has expressed gratitude for what it called the extraordinary solidarity and kindness shown by the Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC), Kingpu, and Pangsha villagers in honoring the late Lieutenant (posthumous) Shetoi Yeptho of NSCN/GPRN (Niki) from Surumi Village.
“Your selfless acts of wrapping the body in a Khiamniungan shawl, carrying it across the border on foot, and ensuring its safe passage are a testament to the unwavering spirit of Naga brotherhood and unity,” the WSH stated in a press release.
The gesture has brought immense comfort to the grieving family and our community, and we are indebted to your kindness, it said.
The WSH further noted that the unwavering support of KTC, Kingpu, and Pangsha villagers has “strengthened our resolve, reinforced our tribal bonds, and inspired us to continue working together towards a brighter future.”
“Together, we stand united in our pursuit of peace, understanding, and prosperity for all,” it added.
