DIMAPUR, JUNe 26 (MExN): The Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) and the Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) have expressed gratitude to the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, and all the police personnel for their exceptional work during the recently concluded ULB elections in 2024.
“We commend your professionalism and dedication in handling the law and order situation, ensuring the smooth and incident-free conduct of the elections. Your strategic planning and quick response were instrumental in maintaining a fair and safe environment for the democratic process to unfold seamlessly,” stated a press release issued by media cell, WSH on Wednesday.
It stated that the efficiency and coordination demonstrated by the entire police force were truly impressive, showcasing commitment to upholding peace and order in Dimapur, Niuland and Chümoukedima.
“Your service to our community is invaluable, and we are proud to have such a capable and dedicated police force safeguarding our city. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order,” it added.
The Dimapur Naga Students' Union (DNSU) lauded the Dimapur District Administrator, Commissioner of Police, and the police force for their commendable efforts in successfully conducting the Urban Local Bodies election.
“Their unwavering dedication and meticulous planning ensured a smooth and peaceful process, reflecting the highest standards of integrity and efficiency. Despite minor hiccups at some polling stations, the police managed the crowd effectively, allowing the election to proceed peacefully. Their seamless coordination upheld democratic values and strengthened our community's trust in public institutions,” a press release from medial cell, DNSU stated.
The DNSU also thanked the ward councils and chairmen for their cooperation and assuring a free and fair election during their visits to the polling stations.
