Dimapur, November 29 (MExN): The Western Sumi Kukami Hoho on November 28 convened a meeting of all Kukamis (GBs/Village Chiefs) of Western Sumi for unification of both the NSCN factions. The meeting passed a resolution ‘to support the resolution of Sumi Hoho and Western Sumi Hoho to support the unification of both the NSCN factions.’ “The WSKH also resolved and appeal to all national workers of Western Sumi to cooperate for the unification,” WSKH President Shikuto Zalipu said in a press statement.
Further, the statement said that, “in a unanimous decision the Hoho has also resolved that any Sumi individual of Western Sumi who goes against the decision of the Hoho will be excommunicated by the Hoho.”
The meeting was held at Vihokhu Village under Kuhuboto area Dimapur. The meeting was attended by more than 380 GBs, Village Chiefs and representatives of Sumi NGOs. Former president of Sumi Hoho Vitokhe, former minister Khukivi, President WSH Hokiye Yeptho and president WSKH Shikuto Zalipu spoke on the occasion.
