Dimapur, February 7 (MExN): The Western Sumi Students’ Union reacts to what it stated is the accusation of the NSCN-IM that the Sumi Hoho and the Western Sumi Hoho are ‘patronage of present upsurge in antisocial acts.” Such ‘baseless and irrational’ accusations blaming the two organizations as being responsible for the recent surge in antisocial activities is “nothing short of blasphemy” stated a WSSU note. “The recent antisocial activities is a deliberate act of those section opposed to Naga unification who are deliberately creating havoc and confusion and to sabotage the Naga national workers unification” the WSSU asserted. Rather, the union stated, the efforts of the Sumi frontals to stop the bloodshed ‘was expected to be welcomed by every section of peace-loving Nagas.” The WSSU reiterated that the Sumis stand for peace, unity and reconciliation and “we will stand to the last.”
