Dimapur, July 5 (MExN): The Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF) has congratulated all the elected representatives in the recent Urban Local Bodies elections in the districts of Chümoukedima, Dimapur, and Niuland. WSYF in a press release stated that being chosen by the people to represent and lead in the development and progress of one’s community is both ‘a blessing and a truly remarkable achievement.’
“We look forward to your leadership and hope that your sincerity and dedication to your duties and responsibilities will foster growth and prosperity in our urban areas,” the front stated.
The WSYF also reminded each representative of the significance of the duties and responsibilities that come with being an elected official. “Your role is crucial in representing the voices and interests of your constituents, making informed decisions, and working at the grassroots level towards the betterment of our urban societies. As elected representatives, you hold a position of trust and responsibility to serve the interests of those you represent.”
The WSYF encouraged the elected councillors to seize this opportunity to serve the people with utmost dedication and sincerity, upholding the principles of transparency, accessibility, responsiveness, authenticity, inclusivity, and consistency. “The WSYF assures you of our full cooperation and is open to discussing any specific needs where we can be of assistance,” it affirmed.
