WTC annual sports’ meet underway

Wokha, January 22 (MExN): The 68th Witter Theological College (WTC) Annual Sports’ Week from January 22 to 25 kicked off at the new campus building here with Aremo Ezung, SDEO, Wokha as the chief guest.

A press release received here stated that the chief guest in his speech emphasized that education is not complete without games and sports as the body also needs physical exercise. He challenged the people present and the participants to utilize their God given gifts and talents wisely. Further, he encouraged Alpha and Omega houses that all of them may not get the championship title; however, participation is more important if they know how to apply discipline in Sports rules and regulation. He further encouraged the theological community to show more commitment and conviction in their lives and profession as they have been chosen to be a light of the world.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by Roziiveinii John H while invocation was pronounced by Thosano Ngullie. Dr. Moanungsang, Principal, WTC gave the welcome address, Rev. M.C. Kithan, Executive Secy., KBES, exhorted the crowd while Zanboni Ngullie & co presented special number. Vote of thanks was pronounced by Rosalin and benediction by S. Ekonthung Ezung, Academic Dean, WTC.
