WVI Mon ADP holds CDPP training

Dimapur, June 29 (MExN): A two-day training for Community Disaster Preparedness Plan (CDPP) Task Force for Longkei Cluster was conducted by Mon ADP, World Vision India at Longkei and Hongphoi on June 27 and 29 respectively.

Altogether 214 participants representing 4 villages: Longkei, Leangnyu, Wangla and Hongphoi attended the training. The attendees include village guards, village council members, FBOs and CBOs leaders.  

The resource persons were from State Disaster Response Force under Home Guard & Civil Defense, Mon unit and medical team led by Pongben and Mankhah ANMs. According to a press note received here, during the trainings, the Coordinator, Development Facilitation, Longkei Cluster Mon ADP, Temjen Sangtam gave an over view on disaster stressing on human behaviors that increase disaster resilience such as Preparedness, Response and Recovery.  

The training imparted both theoretical and practical knowledge on early warning system, search & rescue and first aid, it said.  

Meanwhile, 6 Task Force Teams viz. early warning, search and rescue, first aid, shelter management, coordination and assessment and water and sanitation teams have been updated for all the villages, it added.
