XI Championship (MMA) in Kohima concludes

The two-day Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighting event called X1 championship presented by 3E Nagaland as part of the Combat Sports Festival 2018 concluded on Saturday night.  

Altogether 16 fighters representing various gyms from Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Assam and Chandigarh participated on the last day.  

The 2-day event also saw participation by 32 fighters from various parts of Northeast and other parts of the country.  

It was organised in collaboration with X1 International and sanctioned by MMA India with Merchandise Partner USI Universal and Medical Partner Oking Hospital Kohima.  

RESULTS

• Bout-1 (Bantamweight): Pynshngain Bareh (Ray’s Combat Team Meghalaya) defeated Rakesh Mahato (All Contact Combat Arts Club Kohima)

• Bout 2 (Flyweight): Veinii Suffix (Combat Athletics Training Academy Manipur) defeated Pratikshit Chowdhury (Dastbi MMA Assam).

• Bout 3 (Welterweight): Keyisuiding Lungalung (All Contact Combat Arts Club Kohima) defeated Safikul Ahmed (Dastbi MMA Assam), in

• Bout 4 – (Strawweight): Matsung Ozukum (The Combat Academy Dimapur) defeated Bharat Kumar (All Contact Combat Arts Club Kohima).

• Bout 5 - (Catchweight): Manish Mahanta (Bidang MMA Assam) defeated Avizo Lanamai (Team Relentless Maharashtra):

• Bout 6- Lightweight: Hemavi Ayemi (The Combat Academy Dimapur) defeated Edilbert Ryngdongsngi (Ray’s Combat Team Meghalaya).

• Bout 7 – (Bantamweight): Ritesh Paswan (Bidang MMA Assam) defeated Mulinuba Moleir (The Combat Academy Dimapur).

• Bout 8 – Main Event (lightweight): Manish Rawat (Kings MMA Chandigarh) defeated Longtsukumba Ao (The Combat Academy Dimapur).
