Y Patton calls Mizos to vote for positive change and development

Mamit (Mizoram), November 21 (MExN): Addressing a public gathering on November 21 Nagaland deputy Chief Minister Y Patton calls on the Mizos to vote for BJP for positive change and development.

Y Patton along with his cabinet colleague Pangnyu Phom and other BJP functionaries were campaigning for the BJP candidate Vanlalruata Pachua in Hachhek (ST) Assembly Constituency for the upcoming Mizoram State Assembly elections scheduled to be held on November 28, a press release informed.

Citing Nagaland’s example where the BJP won 12 seats in a 99 percent Christian community, Patton claimed that the BJP is also a secular and welfare political party.

It is committed to work for the upliftment of the downtrodden people in the country and not an anti-Christian party as alleged by other political opponents, he added.

Lamenting on the prevailing road conditions in Mizoram, he stated that it took more than six hours to travel 110 kilometers from Aizwal to Darlak in Mamit district which shows complete lack of development in the state under the present dispensation.

Y Patton called upon the electorates to vote for BJP for positive change and development.
