SHAMATOR, FEBRUARY 3 (MExN): The indefinite agitation of Yimkhiung Akheru Arihako (YAA) on backdrop of demand put forth for immediate deployment of requisite teachers within Yimkhiung jurisdiction entered day two on Saturday. As a consequence of the agitation, Likimro Hydro Electric Project (LHEP) 24 mega watts (MW) under Pungro sub-division was shut down on February 2 by YAA officials and Pungro based NGOs. A provisional transit camp has been put up outside the vicinity of project for volunteers to keep in check for complete closure of LHEP, a press release issued by media cell, YAA informed. The 2nd day of the agitation successfully culminated in all the administrative headquarters i.e. Shamator District, Pungro (ADC) and Chessore (SDO) with intensive inspection carried out by YAA officials and federating units in all the restricted departments, it further stated.
