Dimapur, October 13 (MExN): The NSCN-K is asked to intervene over the matter where a “secretary” of the Tisary region issued a diktat to the president of the Yimchunger Tribal Council. The YAA has called for intervention of the outfit’s higher authority keeping in mind prevention of any untoward eventualities that may arise from the threat issued to the YTC.
YAA executives in a note termed as “sting of tribalism and livewire of hatred” the diktat issued by NSCN-K Tisary region’s “secretary” asking the president of the YTC to resign before October 20. Terming the NSCN-K’s “write-up” as false, baseless and arrogant, the YAA stood in solidarity with the president of the YTC “so long as he speaks the truth and for speaking the outmost truth that no other tribe apart from Yimchungru is inhabiting in Pungro area.” The YAA stated that this is for the “simplest truth” that they (Yimchungru) have sole ownership and authority over the same, banqueted over generations.
The YAA queried why the region takes so much interest in the “things which they never earned or for which they are not at all committed with the GPRN/NSCN’s manifesto.” Asserting that the YTC president will not succumb to any malicious threat, the YAA has asked the NSCN-K’s higher authority to intervene to prevent any untoward eventualities that may rise from it. This is also to enable the “trespasser” to “come out with clean hand” to solve the issue amicably.
