‘Yamaha Artist’ Nise Meruno will start managing artistes starting with Nikato Tamang.

With the purpose to promote professionalism and facilitate musicians to create a niche in the field of music, ‘Yamaha Artist’ Nise Meruno is venturing into managing artistes.
“I'm going to start managing some artistes from now on starting with Nikato,” Nise informed The Morung Express on Saturday.
Nikato Tamang is one of the most promising artists from Northeast India. A talented singer and songwriter, his genre covers a diverse range of music that enables him to cater to a larger audience.
Tamang has a big fan following and his music videos have garnered more than a 200K views.
“Previously a part of ‘Infinity Nxt’ program, Tamang is now managed by Nise Meruno, the first Indian to be labeled ‘Yamaha Artist’ by Yamaha Pianos, Japan.”
Sharing the concept, Nise said that the focus will be on the music and mentoring the artistes. “Basically it is to safeguard and polish the artistes. It is not so much about giving or finding the right platforms, which will be definitely a part of the package,” he said.
To elaborate more, Nise added, “It is not just about events and concerts but for the all round development in maturing the artistes and their art.”
There will be certainly an agreement, which according to Nise, will take into consideration the context of Nagaland.
