Pungro, February 22 (MExN): In support of the NBCC’s fervent call of Clean Election, the Yimchungrü Baptist Borü Amukhungto (YBBA) organised a ‘Clean Election Awareness & Common Platform’ for the contesting candidates of this election at Public Ground Pungro Town on February 21.
Three candidates, NPF- Torechu, BJP-Yankiu and NCP-Lithriyem shared their manifestoes and visions for the people. They also assured to stand by the call of Churches for the Clean Election and also urged the voters not to lose their Christian principles while exercising their right to vote.
Executive Chairman Yimchungrü Tribal Council (YTC), President Public Forum Pungro Sub-Division (PFPSD), President Pungro Area College Students Union (PACSU), Head GB Pungro Town and Pastor Pungro Town Baptist Church (PTBC) shared their concerns and views towards the peaceful, development oriented and clean election. Khalen, Mission Secretary, YBBA in a press release stated that the programme was chaired by Tsuyihba, Church & Missions Promoter YBBA and concluded with a mass prayer.
